The November issue of the Nydian Newsletter is posted on the website www.nydiatemple.com  It can be found under the Newsletters tab.  The snail-mailed edition will be arriving in everyone’s mailbox soon. 

To help the Temple save a little money, anyone wishing to opt out of receiving the mailed edition, and reading it only online, please let Princess Recorder PQ Jennifer Moyer, or PQ Kathy Walliker know.  FYI – the edition on the website will not contain directory updates with ladies’ addresses or phone numbers, since the website is open to the public.

Nydia Temple’s December stated session will be on Wednesday, December 1^st at the Al Kader Shrine Center.  The session starts at 12:30 pm, with a light catered lunch beforehand starting at 11:15 am.  The cost of the lunch is your donation to the Daughters of the Nile Foundation’s Holiday Giving. A favorite tradition of Nydia Temple continues with each member receiving a holiday pin-on, a guarded secret until this day.  Dressing festive for the holidays is encouraged, and just to be safe, masks need to be worn along with social distancing.

There will be opportunities to support the units and clubs with their fundraisers and pick up a few gifts at the same time. Plus some free items from the closet will be available.

Important – looking forward to the next ceremonial on January 16^th – this December session is latest that proposals can be turned in. Please forward information to Princess Recorder Jennifer Moyer, or bring to session.

Website Committee Job Description: A website committee, sometimes called website administrators or webmasters, works to maintain a cohesive design for the organization’s website, Facebook, Constant Contact, and other social media, and increase its online marketing and communications presence. Successful committee members need a thorough knowledge of website design practices and should keep up with trends in marketing, including social networking strategies. Candidates should have experience in marketing, design, or communications, and be proficient in using design software.

Job Duties: The Supreme Temple Website committee will ensure publishing of content, maintaining continuity of themes, designing layout, streamlining navigation, and increasing online presence to current and future members. Committee members should have knowledge of search engine analytics to maximize traffic to websites. The committee members should be familiar with publishing and design software in order to maintain client websites. They should also have strong communication skills and an up-to-date awareness of marketing techniques and website design programs. At least one member should have graphic design experience.
